Royal Bank of Scotland has caused more controversy by paying a market research company £400,000 to ask people what they think of it. The bailed-out bank, which came under fire last week after it admitted spending up to £300,000 on entertaining at Wimbledon, has hired Facts International to carry out the research. Teams of call-centre workers will phone people at random to gauge public attitudes towards the bank, which was rescued from near-collapse last year with £20billion of taxpayers’...
